Scholarship Requirements
- You must be a relative of an IGWA member, child/grandchild/great grandchild.
- You must have completed high school and received a diploma.
- You must have a declared course of study (degree), not a general education course. At this time there is no limit on what that course of study must be, i.e., nursing, accounting, etc. is ok. We are not holding applicants to a water industry degree.
2024 IGWA Scholarship Recipient Information
Addisen Pennington is a senior at the University of Idaho who is originally from Parma, Idaho. She is currently double majoring in Political Science and Criminology with a minor in Justice Studies and will graduate this December. In addition to her academic endeavors, Addisen is heavily involved with the university and community. She is a proud member of the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma where she has held two positions: Secretary and Vice President of Standards. Addisen also served on the Panhellenic Communities Judicial Board at the University of Idaho and was involved with ASUI, the university’s student government. While in ASUI, which stands for Associated Students University of Idaho, she held two different positions. She first served as the Director of Traditions and then as the Director of Community and Civic Involvement. Addisen’s plan after she graduates in December is to work for a law firm and prepare to attend law school in August of 2025.
Easton White is a 2024 graduate of Emmett High School. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a 3.8 gpa throughout all 4 years of high school. He played baseball all 4 years of high school, and played golf for 2 years. He was also involved in FFA, placing 2nd place in district for prepared speaking as well as placing 3rd in state twice for the electrical career development events. He was also a member of the national honor society for 4 years. His career plans are to go to college to expand his knowledge before returning to Emmett Idaho to take over his family’s well and pump business.
Gabe Navarro is a student athlete attending Cypress College in California studying Education. He graduated from Nampa High School in 2023 with a 3.7 GPA. Gabe plans to continue to play college basketball and someday become a teacher and basketball coach.
